Romania is situated in the Balkan Peninsula of South-East Europe, its neighbors include Hungary in the West, Yugoslavia in the South-west, Bulgaria in the South, the Black sea in the East, Moldova in the North-east and Ukraine in the North. It has a very exciting and interesting history that has been and still inspiring many writers and poets.
It is a place where you can find the Carpathian rocky high mountains, the mysterious Dracula`s castle, the beautiful Black sea, the unique and wild delta of the Danube river, muddy volcanoes, deep and unexplored caves. It is a country still rich in local food and culture.
In recent years Romania has received some undeserved negative press, but see for yourself and you'll find its really worth it. The first language is Romanian but you will find that almost everyone you meet will speak another language as well, English being the most common. The capital is Bucharest, a city that is continually expanding and developing in all areas, business, art, property and culture.
